While Youngstown State had no problem with Mercyhurst in their opener on Thursday night, KSR thinks there are some things the Cats can learn from that game. The Penguins' dominant performance offers lessons in execution, discipline, and finishing drives — all things Will Stein's offense will need to replicate against a much tougher opponent.
In other UK football news, ESPN has UK on its list of schools that could be the next Indiana. While no one actually expects a dominant season, the Wildcats have the pieces to surprise people in year one under Stein — and if they can pull off an upset or two early, the narrative shifts fast.
UK's basketball schedule appears to be complete — now we'll wait for gametimes. Mark Pope's slate is set, and the Cats are ready to tip off in November.
