Big Blue Dispatch

Daily Update • September 14, 2026

Good morning, Big Blue Nation! Monday, September 14.

After Saturday's gut-punch against Alabama, we need some wins in the column. The good news arrived swiftly.

UK volleyball bounced back with a dominant sweep over Houston, proving that one loss doesn't define a season. Craig Skinner's team showed resilience right when the program needed it most — and in dominant fashion.

On the football side, the mountain just got steeper. Kentucky opens as a two-score underdog at Texas A&M, meaning back-to-back brutal SEC matchups offer little breathing room for Will Stein's program. The Aggies won't be as explosive as Alabama, but they'll be disciplined and physical in ways that exploit the mistakes from last weekend.

We mentioned Lewis Uvwo yesterday during the recruiting visit. KSR has the complete wrap on Uvwo's official visit to Lexington. Even with Saturday's loss, the atmosphere at Kroger Field clearly made an impression on one of the nation's elite prospects — and sometimes those moments matter more than the scoreboard.
